Just a short video of 98.7 FM using the SDR Play with SDR Console software with RDS activated.
Here’s another short AM DX clip of WHAS Louisville, KY on 840 KHz. Immediately after the station ID I rotated the loop to the south. The Spanish music heard is coming from Cuba. Both of these are regulars here. This clip demonstrate how effective a loop antenna can be at nulling stations..
Here’s a clip of 1120 KMOX from St. Louis as heard here in northern NJ using my SDR PLAY and a DX TOOLS Loop. Plenty of splatter is evident from local Bloomberg Radio on 1130. Top of Hour, (TOH), ID is given along with a local business exchange of 636. This is usually a regular during this time of year. Sometimes it mixes with a station from MA.
KD4ESV with a nice signal into northern NJ from Florida during a 6m opening on 50125Khz.
Still not certain what to make of this. It is commonly found in the HF spectrum.
Strong carrier on 5095 KHz from Arecibo P.R. From Chris Fallen @ctfallen Retweeted HAARP_DXing_2017 Improving conditions and change from X to O mode probably help! Still 5.095 MHz O-mode 390 MW net power #Arecibo. This will be an interesting frequency to monitor.
Young operator, K8BF, working field day contest on 40m in a crowded band.
Some of you have been asking if the “Mystery Signal” is still on the air. Yes it is! Here is a recent clip of it mixed with some CODAR. I’m also trying out SDRUNO software for the very first time. Recorded on May 24, 2017 around 0445 UTC using my SDR PLAY RSP1 attached to my OCF dipole at 35′.
This is Santa Maria in the Azores working aircraft with frequency info and SELCAL.
Typical QSO on 40m, but this one was very good as it covered 2m and 70cm SSB operation and the use of a 1000 foot loop fed with ladder line.
